The Canadian Music Centre renews its contribution to the annual artistic marathon that is Scotiabank Nuit Blanche with Global Motives, a dynamic installation of sound and image. The event takes beginning at 7pm on Saturday, October 4 and wraps up at 6am on Sunday, October 5.
Curated by CMC Associate Composer and pianist Dinuk Wijeratne, and featuring minimalist, abstract video projections from Montréal-based artist, Isaac Rayment, Global Motives explores the intersection between various global music traditions and what we call contemporary classical music. A stellar line-up of Toronto musicians will populate the night with hour-long sets and spontaneous collaborations.
